Welcome to Piper Hill Farm
What happens when you take an absolutely beautiful farm property, and add very friendly animals, mix it up with some rescue animals-including a camel and wallaby, utilize reclaimed wood dating back to the 1700's for outbuildings and even recreate a mining area that has recently unearthed artifacts and fossils? You get a bespoke outdoor experience to unwind, wander and entertain almost anyone in your family. The property is set on over 100 acres with one of the largest spring fed ponds in the area, loaded with trophy sized largemouth bass and catfish.
The 1870 Farm Family of Chapel Hill, alongside the Kids Farms Foundation, sought to save this property from development. This oasis is now an outdoor farm-based learning environment for children and a sanctuary for rescue animals.
Visitor experiences at the farm include hands on time with our farm animals, fishing, electric boat rides, kayaking, hayrides, hay bale archery, hiking, mining for gems, treasure hunting at the creek and so much more!
Our large open spaces, open air barn and beautifully decorated barn house will make your wedding or special event all the more beautiful.
For the kids, we offer birthday party packages, overnight retreats,
day camps and summer camps including a
Junior Vet Academy & Kids Club week.
Our glamping and overnight stays offer a serene, relaxing environment to break away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
Seasonal events such as our Easter Egg Hunt, Wild West Oktoberfest and Winter Festival will bring families from all over the Triangle together for some good old fashioned farm fun!
